This is the phase in which it's organelles become fully formed after branching off from the other daughter cell during cytokinesis, as well as performing the function that cell was intended for (like with the rest of interphase). Interphase is the portion of the cell cycle that is not accompanied by observable changes under the microscope, and includes the g1, s and g2 phases.
However, during the g1 stage, the cell is quite active at the biochemical level.
What happens during the interphase? Choose from 500 different sets of flashcards about term:interphase phases = g1 phase, s phase, g2 phase. The g1 phase of interphase marks the primary growth period of the cell. Past the s phase, the cell goes through a quality control point where (like in every transition point of the before the cell enters the g1 phase of the interphase, it goes through the exit m checkpoint.
